DR. HEATHER not only failed to inform myself and my husband that our daughter's Daschund had a great chance of recovery with surgery IF IT WAS DONE IMMEDIATLEY, but she lied to my daughter claiming to have explained these ESSENTIAL DETAILS. She further claimed that my husband said it was too expensive. WE WERE WILLING AND ABLE TO PAY AND LED TO BELIEVE THAT THE DOG WAS GETTING MEDICAL THERAPY AND IF IT WAS NOT EFFECTIVE THAT SURGERY WOULD BE RECOMMENDED. This was finally explained to my daughter after 4 days - THE WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY IS 24-48 HOURS. I found this information in 5 minutes on line. Dr. Heather's comments sounded like she was reading that web page- FOUR DAYS AFTER THE DOG WAS ADMITTED. WHAT EXACTLY WAS SHE DOING WITH THE DOG FOR SEVERAL DAYS??? WHY WERE WE NOT REFERRED TO A NEUROLOGICAL SPECIALIST??!! MY DAUGHTER'S PET IS NOW PERMANENTLY PARALYZED BECAUSE THIS VET DID NOT KNOW AND DID NOT CONVEY THAT SHE NEEDED SURGERY (50-90%) SUCCESS WITHIN 24-48 HOURS. AFTER THE 48 HOUR MARK..5-15% CHANCE OF SUCCESS. NEVER...NEVER...LET THIS WOMAN NEAR ANY ANIMAL YOU CARE ABOUT.

Vet clinic is good only if issues occur 9-5. Very unwilling to provide critical pet health assistance after hours; even for customer in good standing with many pets($$$). We've had difficulties with staff doing a thorough records review prior and during our visit. Several times we have discovered vaccinations due after the visitation was complete, or prescription dosages not properly descriptive. We have been charged for incomplete services. This vet clinic was dissapointing when it counted most.

I am a fussy pet owner with an adorable 2 year old West Highland Terrier named Maggie. I have been looking for a while for a quality groomer that knows how to take care of a Westie. I tried places that offer pampering for pets but when it came down to it, I found the best groomer in town at the local vet. That is right, Cedar Animal Hospital has an awesome groomer that knows what she is doing when it comes to Westies. Maggie gets a perfect cut every time and I love it!
